Share Your Poems

Dear students,

Recently I was invited by a group of writers in Kharagpur in their book release cum poetry session. I liked their creativity and the unending  interest in poems they showed despite their age and occupation. They all seemed to be more alive and ageless for me. I appeal to you all who have this inner voice always in mute due to your TV volume to express yourself in this blog. Let your poems find their day light. Let me start  a few lines to lead you to add on.

Jealousy

A glare of praise

heaped on you.

This worm in me worked hard

To fatten itself

With self defence ,

self praise,

Hungered further for ways to keep floating.

Master strokes from sinking

Which never was to be.

The cacoon in hot spot had its full

fell despite a willful fight.

Strands of clarity

Like silk

flowed

designing   my days

In bright  sunshine.

    Sir
Exams are still a matter of tension. We attempt a poem on this.

    Exams

    Exams are near
    We are in fear.
    A darkness swells up
a painful waiting for the dawn.
    we play the game
    with scores and penalty
    yet
    what a feeling
    when it is over!
I am out of bed of one week’s fever.

    Sir
This is my poem. I hope the readers of this blog like it.

    Class XI

    Diluting [ML^-1T^-2]
    when its time for projectile,
    its fully fragile
    nothing to be fixed
    Heisenberg’s with stick
    got in the criticism
    cause of class XI’s meristematism
    no way to be fabulous
    when there is Calculus…
    noway what you read,
    this is XI-
so make it bigger of your den
cause you are not the KING
    when EMPEROR is here!
    English got its core
    which is really to adore
I got for into the top
    and reached the bottom hence
as if there is a fence.
but have to break this up to add a cure,
    to rule and roar!

  5. Ayan says:

At the end of the day,
as the living world finds its way,
to their own world.. of rest, pleasure
birds retracing their way to their nests…
    rabbits returning to their burrows…
all replenished with the days’ lessons
moved by the sorrows and glowing with the happiness,
as the sun finds its way down the west and darkness grasps the earth slowly,
we retire from as well as return to our mundane,
and live in hope for and in a search of a better tomorrow

  6. Diptesh says:

    The clear blue sky,
    The scent of flowers,
    The colours of Rangoli,
    And the sound of crackers.

The gifts and sweets from dear ones,
And the getting of their love,
The light of the candles below,
And the dazzling fireworks up above.

    Lighting lamps at our homes,
    Making the less fortunate smile,
    Putting on new apparels,
    Show our friends some style.

    Paying respects to the gods,
And decorating for them the thali,
This is what the occasion is all about,
This is the spirit of Deepavali.

  7. Indranil says:

Mother the biggest gift of god to us
Mother the candle burn herself to light our life
Mother the other name of kindness
Mother who hold us nine month and suffer
Mother who feed us from her blood and milk
Mother stays sleepless all the nights holding us
Mother teach us how to walk and talk
Mother guides us and secures us
Mother loves us from start to end
Mother is mother no one can take her place

  8. Navneet Das says:

    Sir
In the last period, our english class was going on, it was raining and Sudeshna mam asked us to compose a poem on it.This is what I created through my pen…

    My Heart Says
    A few minutes ago
    I saw the dark clouds.
My heart began to beat fast,
how would I go to home?
    But my heart self-composed,
    “Enjoy the rain today,
    because
it should be enjoyed again and again”!

  12. Sayani Nandi says:

While I was turning the pages of my diary, I found this out.Hope you will like it!

    LIFE
    Life is a hazardous thing,
    In which we often dream,
To have it just as cream.
But life is not so ease,
    It may have some crease..
Sometimes it also gears up us with joy,
As we do something to ploy.
MAke sure your life goes on plenty,
Because it may lead your destiny.

  13. Navneet Das says:
